General Charles F. Wald, USAF (Ret.), Former Deputy Commander of United States European Command Joins M.I.C. Industries, Inc.'s Board of Advisors

Reston, Virginia – June 23, 2009 M.I.C. Industries, Inc., manufacturer of the patented Ultimate Building Machine®, is pleased to announce that General Charles “Chuck” Wald, USAF (Ret.) has joined M.I.C. Industries, Inc.’s Board of Advisors and the Chairman’s Inner Circle Advisory Board.

General Wald served as Deputy Commander of United States European Command from 2002 until his retirement in 2006. He was responsible for all U.S. Forces operating across 91 countries in Europe, Africa, Russia, parts of Asia, the Middle East and most of the Atlantic Ocean. Prior to that, he served as the U.S. Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Air & Space Operations at the Pentagon, commanded the 9th Air Force and U.S. Central Command Air Forces at Shaw Air Force Base. He is currently a Director and Senior Advisor to the Aerospace and Defense Industry practice at Deloitte, LLP.

With over 35 years of service, General Wald was a command pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours, including more than 430 combat hours. As the supporting commander, he led the coalition air campaign in Operation Enduring Freedom.

During his lengthy military career, General Wald has received several awards and decorations for his service such as the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He completed his undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University and received a master's degree in International Relations from Troy University. He completed coursework at Harvard University and the National War College. He was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from North Dakota State University.
