Reston, Virginia – October 5, 2007 – M.I.C. Industries, Inc., manufacturer of the patented Ultimate Building Machine® (UBM® - The Machine That Makes Buildings®), is pleased to announce its sponsorship of America’s Promise Alliance.
Mr. Michael S. Ansari, Founder, Chairman and CEO of M.I.C. Industries, is now an Alliance Trustee for America’s Promise Alliance, an organization founded by General and Mrs. Colin L. Powell, which is committed to providing the fundamental resources of healthcare, education, and a safe environment necessary for the upbringing of over 15 million of America’s underserved children. The America’s Promise Alliance believes the success of our children is grounded in experiencing the Five Promises - caring adults; a safe place; a healthy start; an effective education; and opportunities to help others - at home, in school and in the community.
Mr. Ansari is a recipient of the prestigious United States Ellis Island Medal of Honor. Other past recipients of this medal include President George H. W. Bush, Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, Walter Cronkite, Muhammad Ali, Henry Kissinger, Bob Hope, and General Norman Schwarzkopf. In 2005, Mr. Ansari was bestowed the title of Honorary Marine by the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps. He is one of a select few Honorary Marines in the 230 year history of the Marine Corps.
